The match between FC Volendam and Sparta Rotterdam was temporarily halted after a fan threw beer on the field.
The game was temporarily halted in the 37th minute after beer was thrown as FC Volendam celebrated the draw by Mbuyamba. Shortly afterwards, the game resumed.
On their social media, the Volendam football club says that they themselves know perfectly well when the grass needs to be sprayed. “So you can use full glasses of beer yourself to hydrate”, is the advice to the fans.
