Emiliano, how were the beginnings of the company?
Matalum emerged 18 years ago, when I started working at an opening company where I learned the trade. From that day on, I was so passionate about it that I made it my goal to have my own factory.
After a few years I decided that it was time to become independent and have a better quality of life.
I started buying my machines and work tools, making brochures and going around the neighborhoods offering my work.
What was your first Architect client?
I met my first Architect client through my wife, who cleaned her friend’s house. It was there that she met him and when she found out that he was an Architect, she gave him a brochure and he called me, and from that day on we continued working together. Over time we were incorporating clients, who for years have continued betting and trusting in Matalum.
What are the services they provide?
We provide customized and standard openings, according to the project of each Architect, builder, as well as the owner himself.
In turn, we have the development of openings in aluminum, high-performance PVC, glass, exterior doors, interior doors, screens, compact curtains and blackout curtains.
How do you project your brand in the medium term?
Through our website and mainly on the recommendation of our satisfied customers.
What are your differentials in the category?
I believe that what sets me apart is my way of socializing with the client, showing myself as I am; sincere, transparent and humble. And always telling him my story. And in turn they are amazed to see my wife and children on our side.
If you were starting over, what would you do differently?
I would not change a thing, because despite the fact that it cost me a lot, that I had ups and downs, I always remained firm, with confidence, faith and the always support of my wife to continue forward.
