British retailer Matalan is filling a key position. On Monday, the company announced the resignation of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Stephen Hill, who had held the post for 23 years. Hill will serve as an advisor to the board of directors in the coming months, according to a statement.
At the same time, the company introduced Hill’s successor. Dave Williams will join the company as designated CFO later this week and will take on the role permanently after a short transition period, Matalan said.
Williams comes from the Pepco Group discounter Poundland, where he most recently worked as Finance Director. Previously, the financial expert held various management positions at well-known retailers such as JJB Sports and TJ Hughes over a career spanning more than 20 years.
