On Friday, Xabi Alonso announced that he will leave Leverkusen in summer. The fans celebrate their success coach in the last home game.

According to the Spanish sports newspaper Marca, Alonso should switch to Real Madrid and take over a contract there until 2028 from summer – as the successor to Carlo Ancelotti. Anyone who follows him in Leverkusen has not yet been determined. Among other things, CESC Fabregas and Erik Ten Hag are mentioned.

In addition to Alonso, national player Jonathan Tah was also adopted, who does not extend his expiring contract. The loan players Nordi Mukiele, Mario Hermoso and Emiliano Buendía, who will leave the club, also received applause.
