The northwest of Iran, not far from the border with Turkey, was rocked by a strong earthquake on Saturday evening. According to the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC), it had a magnitude of 5.6. Local media, as well as the American institute USGS, spoke of 5.9 at a depth of 10 kilometers.
