The Massive Attack tour, originally scheduled for early summer, will be postponed to September 2022. This also applies to the Germany concerts presented by the ME in Berlin, Düsseldorf and Munich. The reason for the transfer is the serious illness of a member of the trip hop duo, as was explained at the end of March.
“We are very happy that he is now slowly getting better.”
The unnamed musician is on the mend, but it will take time to heal, the band said in a statement shared on social media: “Over the past few months, a member of Massive Attack has been battling a serious illness . We are very happy that he is slowly getting better. This development is initially positive, but it is also challenging and the recovery process will take some time.”
New tour dates are now set
Apparently, their physical condition is not yet good enough for their European tour planned for May, June and July. “The band deeply regrets this and apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause. We are particularly sorry for the fans of the band and for the production crew who, due to other global events, have had to wait so long to finally go on tour again.” New tour dates have now been announced.
