Actually, Massive Attack should have been on stage on June 9, 2020 in Düsseldorf and one day later in Berlin. Corona had ensured that this plan did not work. The British had to postpone their entire tour, and thus also the two dates in Germany, due to the rampant pandemic. As is well known, nothing came of the new dates on June 20, 2021 in Berlin’s Max-Schmeling-Halle and on June 30, 2021 in Düsseldorf’s Mitsubishi Electric HALLE.
It should finally work out in 2022. The following news proves how confident the band and booking are: Massive Attack not only want to perform in Berlin and Düsseldorf this summer – a concert in Munich has also been announced. Presented by Musikexpress.

In order to keep their carbon footprint as small as possible, Robert “3D” Del Naja and Grantley “Daddy G” Marshall decided to travel every route by train for the European tour. Will they stick to it in 2022? Del Naja told The Guardian that rather than giving up touring altogether, they wanted to use the train to create “systemic change” and encourage “collective action.”
Massive Attack are one of the first bands to popularize and significantly shape the genre of trip-hop. Their albums BLUE LINES and MEZZANINE became classics – the latter so much so that the British released a remaster of the record in 2019.
