On 27 June 1980, 77 passengers boarded the scheduled flight IH870 of the Itavia airline, which departed from Bologna-Borgo Panigale airport and headed for Palermo-Punta Raisi airport. The plane takes off at 20.08 instead of 18.30, as was originally planned. About fifty minutes later, the aircraft disappears from the radars of the air control center in Rome: crashed in the international waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea, between the islands of Ponza and Ustica. Several decades later, various aspects of the incident are not yet clarified with certaintystarting from the dynamic itself.
