Tiger from FC Utrecht, Heero from Heerenveen or Bikkel from NEC. They were all present at the Philips stadium today. Almost all mascots of Dutch professional football were together today for a mascot dinner organized by Phoxy, the mascot of PSV.
It is the first time that the Dutch football mascots have come together in this way. It is about the Christmas spirit, putting all rivalry aside and getting all football clubs together.
All mascots were present on behalf of Brabant: Loewy the Cat from Helmond Sport, Woutje from FC Eindhoven, RiKCy from RKC, Kingo from Willem II and of course Phoxy from PSV. Notably absent is NAC, but they do not have a mascot.
Of course it looks nice for the camera, all those cuddly cuddly toys from all the football clubs, but actually eating is not an option with such a mascot head on. So the press present was kindly asked to leave the stadium and were then allowed to take off their suits: on to the real Christmas dinner.
