Martti Mansikka, 90, has died

According to Aamulehti, Olympic medalist Martti Mansikka has died.

Olympic medalist in balance beam gymnastics, who turned 90 in October Martti Mansikka slept off on Saturday 24.2. surrounded by loved ones, says Morning paper.

Mansikka won Olympic bronze in the team competition at the Melbourne Olympics in 1956. A couple of years later, the man was fourth in the team competition at the World Championships.

According to Aamulehti, Mansikka grew up in Vyborg, but he fled the war with his family to Tampere, which was the man’s hometown until his death.
