Berlin (AP) – Marton Dardai has apologized to the Hertha fans for smirking on the substitute bench during the defeat at Borussia Mönchengladbach.
“Anyone who knows me knows that I have always given everything for this club and will of course continue to do so,” wrote the 20-year-old on Instagram.
The snapshot, which showed the central defender laughing together with captain Dedryck Boyata during the game of the Berlin Bundesliga club on Saturday, had previously caused outrage among many Berliner supporters. “I am absolutely aware of the explosive situation we are in and will do everything together with the team to get out of it,” wrote Dardai.
