More and more celebs, in fact, want to let the public know not only their cover or red carpet image, but also their ordinary everyday image. In this way, they want to invite followers not to follow certain beauty ideals at all costs. «Here I am! No makeup, no wigs, no special lights, no beautifying filters, just my essence. Here I am, it’s me, I’m like this” wrote the actress and model, showing herself on social media without a trace of makeup.

“It is a struggle, the one for the ideal appearance, which engages women with increasing fury from the pediatric age” wrote Marina Colombari accompanying her selfie shared on Instagram. Adding: “It matters little if this fetish of adequacy to an artificial and unhealthy standard is achieved at the price of massive psychological discomfort, threat to social identity, bodily disperception, nutrition and eating disorders, mood disorders, which leave trawls throughout the entire existence. And she concluded by sending a message to all women: «This idea of beauty is the Western burqa behind which everything else is hidden which constitutes the true value of a woman: her essence, uniqueness, her talents and abilities».

Yet not all followers liked Martina Colombari’s post. Many recognize the former beauty queen’s natural charm.
