US actor Martin Lawrence (57) wants to work with his colleague Will Smith (53) even after his slap in the face at this year’s Oscars.

Despite speculation, the joint project “Bad Boys 4” has not been put on hold, Lawrence told Ebony magazine. “We have at least one movie left,” the comedian announced. He did not give a date for the theatrical release.

The first bad boys movie starring Smith and Lawrence came out in 1995. “It was a big deal,” Lawrence said. “We got together and we proved we could lure people to the box office — to have two black stars, two sitcom stars, make money at the box office was huge.” The action-comedy sequels came out in 2003 and 2020

Smith caused a stir at the Oscars in late March when he slapped comedian Chris Rock on stage. He had previously made a joke about Smith’s wife Jada Pinkett Smith.

After the incident, the Film Association announced that Smith would be banned from Academy events for ten years.
