Martin Kind refuses to give Hannover 96 any specific information

Professional managing director Martin Kind explained himself to the parent club Hannover 96 in the debate about his voting behavior in the German Football League (DFL) investor deal – but did not really provide any clarity.

As a member of the Lower Saxony board confirmed to the “SID” on Thursday, Kind had contacted the club as requested, but did not specifically address the questions regarding the management of the eV.

“The specific question was how he voted and whether he followed the instructions,” said the board member. However, as before, Kind simply pointed out that it was a secret vote.

Kind has been at loggerheads with the parent club’s management for a long time. This had instructed him to reject the DFL deal.

DFL vote: Child faces legal repercussions

Child, however, is considered a supporter. Since an investor’s entry would have been canceled if there was another no vote or abstention, the focus is on child. If he agreed to join the club against the instructions of the club’s management, there could be legal repercussions.

In any case, the parent club reserves the right to take legal action: further action will be discussed “internally”. “But it is also clear that we consider the current response procedure to be unacceptable,” said the board member.

A list in “Bild” of the clubs’ voting behavior had previously suggested that Kind had agreed. The list includes all twelve clubs that are said to have not agreed. Hanover cannot be found among them.

However, if Kind sticks to his reference to the secret vote and does not explain himself publicly, the vote would hardly be contestable.
