Martien Meiland is annoyed by Guido den Aantrekker, one of his colleagues at SBS 6. He finds the way in which the Story boss hacks at Yolanthe Cabau and celebrities like Nikkie Plessen ‘so negative’.
Story boss Guido den Aantrekker is doing well at Shownieuws. He chopped Yolanthe Cabau into pieces there this week (‘she exploits her son!’) and gave Dutch celebrities such as Nikkie Plessen who use their children as walking advertising columns. “Isn’t that disgusting? (…) Just let children be good children.”
Martien angry with Guido
Martien Meiland thinks that his SBS 6 colleague is very angry. The reality star has a podcast in which he spits his bile about the show media every week and this time it’s Guido’s turn. The paterfamilias of the Meiland family, for example, finds Guido’s criticism of Yolanthe badly misplaced.
“Yolanthe had taken very nice pictures and posted them on her channel, so to speak, and then the media (Guido, ed.) started whining about it again. That she’s just doing it to get more likes and stuff. Then I think: what is this!”
‘Yolanthe is unique’
Erica Meiland agrees. “As if she’s waiting for that.”
Martien: “Yes, she probably already has a lot of likes.”
Erica: “She gets enough likes. Doesn’t she often post something with that boy? This is a holiday they experience together.”
Martien: “Yolanthe was also invited to the Masai. Well, that’s really nice and that child doesn’t know what he sees so nice. Isn’t that very special to be there and see a completely different culture? (…) In any case: I think she is unique, Yolanthe, and so does that boy.”
In the breach for Nikkie
Martien also intervenes for Nikkie Plessen, who is therefore accused of using her children as a mannequin. “I think she’s always under fire. She always gets so many negative things.”
Erica: “Just like Maxime. It’s also a bit in that corner. It never does well.”
Martien: “Yes, Maxime is also in such a negative corner. Nikkie Plessen is of course completely into clothing and fashion and in addition to being seen every time at RTL Boulevard, she has a clothing line. She also has a line for children. She has dressed her children nicely in those beautiful clothes and she takes pictures of them.”
No problem with it
Martin has no problem with that at all. That would also be strange, because that’s what Maxime does too. “That is very good from Nikkie Plessen in business terms, those children probably really like it because Clairtje also really likes it when she wears something from Maxime’s Villa Vito.”
Erica: “The children will like that, you know, but I do hope that if those children think: I don’t feel like mom at all, that they will indicate that too. Most kids do. I don’t think it’s a problem either.”
Martien: “What are people worried about?”
Erica: “Yeah, gosh, just do it.”
