Martien Meiland cannot deal with Angela de Jong’s negative column about his poor content program Chateau Meiland VIPS. “Try rosé instead of vinegar!”
It is almost impossible for the Meilandjes that there are also an incredible number of people who do not like them. They continuously show repetitions of moves on television and there is a considerable fan base for that, but it no longer comes across as authentic. A yelp here, a quasi-surprised look there; it’s all very predictable.
Milk it out
Martien Meiland and his family now have a program in which they interview celebrity duos; something that has been done dozens of times on television. Maybe that’s something? No, that show has been overloaded with negative reviews and the country’s most important TV columnist, Angela de Jong, has also written a downright scathing piece about it.
Angela was also called in yesterday to respond to the image RTL Boulevard: “If I’m completely honest, I watched with a lot of admiration, because I already wondered: how much can you milk something?”
Great family
It’s mainly more of the same, Angela sneers. “We have seen them renovated, we have seen them in their guest house and now we see Martien Meiland screaming again, but now he has two well-known Dutch people.”
She continues: “There are simply two famous Dutch people who are ‘allowed’ to experience what it is like to be with those Meilandjes for 24 hours and afterwards they can say: ‘It is such a wonderful family! They’re so cute and they’re so warm!’”
‘Always negative!’
How does Martien deal with such criticism? Well, he can’t handle it at all. “Angela de Jong is almost always negative, but that doesn’t matter. Yes, if she can live with that. Instead of a bottle of vinegar, she should just have a nice rosé. No, but that’s all fine,” he sneers.
The Meilandjes are so convinced of themselves that someone who doesn’t like them must be very sour. Daughter Montana: “Yes, exactly. Nice in the sun. No, let’s just talk about it. Some people are like that.”
Exactly what Angela thinks about the Meilandjes.
