Martien Meiland completely broken by podcast: ‘I’m really empty’

The stars of Talpa threaten to fall in droves. In addition to Hélène Hendriks, who is through it because she has to present HLF8 three times a week, Martien Meiland is now half ruined by his podcast.

John de Mol puts his stars to work. In fact, the workload at Talpa is so high that the presenters can hardly bear it anymore. Hélène Hendriks is half close to a burnout because she has to present an hour of HLF8 three times a week and Martien Meiland is now complaining about his weekly chat podcast of 45 minutes.

Martien dead tired

Martien and his life companion Erica are therefore not currently making plans for the future. “Of course we have that podcast every week, which takes quite a lot of time,” she explains in the TROS Kompas.

Martien then indicates that the podcast does indeed take its toll. “That podcast eats up energy. You’ve been talking for an hour and a half. After that you are really empty.”

He does not want to make any new plans for the time being. “First the new season of Chateau Meiland, then we’ll see.”

‘Everything stops’

All in all, the big question now is: how long will the Meilandjes last all that hard work? And will they end up in a black hole when it all ends? “Well, yo! We’ve said that from the start. Everything ends at some point, then we’ll see again. Let’s pick up something else fun.”

They think it would be fun to do something with real estate, says Erica. “That we are going to buy houses, refurbish them and resell them. We really like that too. We don’t have time for that now, but we talk about it regularly.”
