Many Norwegians have been of the opinion that the title of princess should be taken away from Märtha Louise. However, he will keep it even if he leaves the King’s House.
– The decision has been made together with my parents, the king and the queen. It is supposed to create peace around the royal house.
In the future, he will no longer work as a royal patron of numerous associations and events. Although Märtha Louise is allowed to keep the title of princess, her future husband is not allowed to use the royal title. It is also not allowed for the princess in commercial contexts.

The reason for the separation is the engagement of the princess with Durek Verrett, who calls himself a shaman. The couple’s relationship has often come under criticism and some of Verrett’s opinions about the coronavirus, for example, have been considered irresponsible.
