According to a report by SPIEGEL, German rapper Marteria was arrested in North Carolina on March 30. On the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s website – where the incident took place – there is next to a police photowhich clearly shows the 40-year-old rapper also to see the two allegations against Marten Laciny, as Marteria’s real name is: Assault by choking and assault against a woman.
There are no verdicts for the time being, the trial has been scheduled for April 18, as reported by SPIEGEL. Marteria was released on bail of 5,000 euros, it said. In addition, the “Purple Clouds” rapper will not comment on the incident until further notice.
It is not publicly known why Marteria was in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. He himself comes from Rostock in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, there is a partnership between the state and the county.
