Mart Hoogkamer completely avoided Angela de Jong last month when they were guests together in Beau van Erven Dorens’ talk show. “He completely avoided me there.”
The slightly raised Mart Hoogkamer has won the prize for the most infantile TV program of the year with his winter ski soap Mart op de Piste. The jury, consisting of Angela de Jong and her colleagues at the AD, speaks of ‘infantile TV of the outside category’. “Only one could win this year.”
“What’s infantile?”
Mart accepted the prize with a smile, as can be seen in a video on the AD site. It is striking that Mart has no idea what ‘infantile’ actually is, so prize awarder Manuel Vanderbos has to explain that to him.
AD journalist Marcus den Blanken does feel sorry for Mart. “He’s just a simple guy,” he says. Manuel: “He is also somewhat limited in terms of vocabulary.”

The criticism of Mart op de Piste paid with tax money is laughable to the singer. “They asked me again and who knows, maybe there will be another season. So Angela de Jong: I hope you might watch it again next year,” he says.
Then Mart pretends to be very fond of Angela. “I would like an autograph from Angela.”
Out of the way
Very strange, says Angela in the AD Media podcast. “He could have gotten an autograph when I first met him, but then he completely avoided me. That was with Beau.”
She continues: “We were on the same broadcast, but then he stayed at least ten feet away from me the whole time. But hey, it doesn’t matter. I think it’s sporting that he accepts it and that he keeps laughing about it.”
