Former sprinter Markus Pöyhönen is engaged to his girlfriend Millan with. The couple got engaged on a romantic southern vacation in Marbella, Spain. Pöyhönen told his social media followers the good news.
– From here to eternity, he wrote in a Facebook update, where the couple presents rings adorning their names.
Pöyhönen tells Iltalehte that he proposed unexpectedly while on vacation.
– This happened on my birthday, October 25. That situation went really well. We are in a villa in Marbella on vacation, this is where it happened, Markus Pöyhönen tells Iltalehte.
– Since there is a jacuzzi there, I asked if you want to go to the jacuzzi with me. Then after that I asked another question, he laughs.
The couple has been together for two years, and according to Pöyhönen, the time for the proposal felt right. According to him, the planning of the wedding will start soon.
– I have to start looking at where I could get married, start looking into churches and other things.
Markus Pöyhönen told Ilta-Sanom last year the couple moved in together. According to him, the couple’s everyday habits easily merged into one.
– There is always something that both are used to doing things in a certain way and then there is a bit of turning in how things are done. I don’t think anything major, I think this went quite painlessly, Pöyhönen told the newspaper.
