SGD bodies must confirm
After the scandal because of the use of a fake vaccination card, coach Markus Anfang is about to return to professional football. According to information from “dpa”, second division relegated Dynamo Dresden is about to sign the 47-year-old. The contract between the two parties only has to be confirmed by the bodies of the association. About the interest of the Saxons in the coach previously had “foosball” and the “Picture” reported.
The former Bundesliga professional resigned as coach of the then second division team Werder Bremen in November after the public prosecutor’s office opened investigations against him and his assistant coach Florian Junge because of the use of fake vaccination cards. The district court in Bremen later sentenced him to a fine totaling 36,000 euros, the sports court of the German Football Association banned him as a coach for a year and suspended this sentence on probation from June 10th.
In March, Beginning showed remorse in the “Bild am Sonntag” and the ZDF “Sportstudio” and expressed hope for a future in professional football. “Of course you want a person to get a second chance, but I can’t wait for that,” he said a good two months ago. Together with the current sports director of the Dresdner, Ralf Becker, promotion to the third division with Holstein Kiel was successful at the beginning of the 2016/2017 season. After that, the north Germans came up trumps and only missed the leap into the Bundesliga in the relegation against VfL Wolfsburg.
