Marks & Spencer gains Puma and Reebok as partner brands

The British retail group Marks & Spencer Group Plc has gained two more well-known partner brands for its online platform The Sports Edit. On Thursday, the company announced that selected items from Puma and Reebok would also be offered there in the future.

With the two new additions, “five of the ten leading global sportswear brands” will be represented in the Marks & Spencer online shop in the future, the retailer explained. Products from Adidas, Asics and Columbia as well as labels such as Sweaty Betty and Girlfriend are already available in The Sports Edit section.

As part of its “Brands at M&S” strategy, the company is specifically targeting the high-growth sports segment. The range of activewear own brand Goodmove is specifically supplemented with selected items from well-known partner labels.

The focus is on The Sports Edit platform, which the group integrated into its online store a year ago. Nick Paulson-Ellis, founder and CEO of The Sports Edit, announced that the range will be expanded further later this year.
