Marko Kiuru, the world champion of young lions, is dead

Hockey Youth World Championship Gold Medalist Marko Kiuru is dead, Lukko says on his Twitter account.

Kiuru, one of the best in his age group -69, died on March 9th. He played for Luko’s Finnish Championship League from 1986-91.

In the 1986–87 season, Kiuru won the youth world championship, and in the spring of 1988, he won the Finnish Championship silver in the ranks of his breeder’s club, Luko.

Kiuru, who is remembered as a small, fast and skillful striker, was chosen as the best player in the Nordic camp in 1984. In the lock shirt, he accumulated 192 matches at 29 + 45 = 74, including the playoffs.
