Aira Samulin’s death has touched many close to the dancer.
A good friend of Aira Samulin Marko Björs remembers the late dancer fondly, even though the sad news that came on October 23 was a shock. Björs was supposed to meet Aira over coffee and cognac this week.
Information about Samulin’s death stopped me.
– Yes, it stopped me and took me off my feet. It’s a wistful and unreal feeling, Björs describes to Iltalehte.
Björs met the lively Samulin for the first time at an event where Aira asked him to dance. The friendship was not born until a year later, when Björs made a story about Samulin and his cat in Lemmikki magazine.
According to the riding trainer, the peculiarity of their friendship at the beginning was that it actually started from the friendship between Samulin’s cat and Björs’ dog. The mutual livelihood of the pets delighted both of them and after that there was enough talking.

The last time they met was a month ago, because both of their expenses crossed paths. Fortunately, they still had time to talk on the phone last week due to rumors.
– Aira was a very good friend and close person. We always improved the world, even though there is a 40-year age difference. We looked at life and the world in the same way, a friend recalls.
According to Björs, Samulin’s death has not only touched his loved ones, but the entire Finnish people. According to him, the best thing about Aira was his authenticity and the fact that he encouraged others. Samulin’s outgoing life attitude also impressed me.
– He was really young and intelligent and a great role model, Björs adds.
The coach thanks his friend and the legend of his time in his Instagram post.
– I am eternally grateful that I became friends with Aira, he still describes to Iltalehte with sensitivity.
