Known for the Encrypted Lives series Markku Pulli published eight years ago by a friend Matin with a gym-themed rap song that became a Finnish-wide online hit.
As Bull visited Big Brother House last year, the Roinatan memes raised their heads again and the duo thought new music was in place. Just released a rap song Buy And Raise also talks about going to the gym and using steroids. However, the release of the song was not a matter of course.
– We considered this return with Mati for a really long time. Initially, when we released the first song, we thought that it would be done, but the song took off really well and left its own life alive, Pulli tells Iltalehti.

While Pullin is heard rapping with this new song, his responsibility has also been to direct, produce and script the music video. The previous one, which collected 3.5 million views JunkThe budget for the music video for wasn’t enough to cover the decent lighting, so the music video was made black and white. This time, the duo wanted to invest more in their production.
– We have further deepened our co-operation, as we planned more about what the song could become like. Of course, Matti made rhymes because he is really a wizard with them, Pulli says.
Just a joke
Although the songs tell of the use of banned hormone preparations, those substances are not part of Bull’s personal life.
– Throughout history, people have thrown such rude jokes in the gym and that whole bodybuilding culture is such a hard joke and hard humor. It somehow works well when there are such legends that are properly slammed on both sides.

Pulli says the song’s goal is to motivate people to work out in the gym and generally exercise more.
– The more annoying the lyrics and the music video, the more memorable it is, of course. That’s why it’s been taken a little over, but hopefully everyone understands it’s a joke, Pulli continues with a laugh.
Pulli says Roinatan and Mati are scheduled to release more hall-themed rap songs in the future. The Salkkarit actor also doesn’t deny that the rap duo could also do a gig as long as there were enough productions to perform. Upcoming songs will continue to focus around the same topic.

– After all, Matti has made songs on a wide range of topics, but I think our Matti and Roinatan combo stays on the side of the so-called hall rap. No music has been terribly published in that genre for a long, long time. Scandal and Black Barbarian have sometimes published but there are no others.
Long history
The actress says she listened to Mati’s own rap production more than 10 years ago. Bull’s friends had originally whispered to him that Matti’s blasted Pull had played Jonah Sievinen in the gym.
– A message was then posted with Mati via Facebook and she asked “would you like to come and perform for one of my videos?”, Pulli recalls.
