Update in the Süper Lig
Transfermarkt has updated the market values of the Turkish Süper Lig: Galatasaray right-back Sacha Boey became the biggest winner and the new most valuable player in the Turkish upper house. With Tottenham loanee Tanguy Ndombélé, the reigning champions also have the footballer who has recorded the biggest loss. In terms of squad value, “Cimbom” loses 13.7 million euros, but remains at the top of the league rankings ahead of current league leaders Fenerbahce.
Boey new at the top: Most valuable players in the Süper Lig
Started 15 times, played through 15 times: Boey’s quota cannot be topped and the upgrade makes the 23-year-old the second most valuable Frenchman in his position behind Chelsea’s Malo Gusto (statistics).
The 1.78 meter tall right-footer moved from Rennes to the Bosphorus in 2021 for 1.15 million euros, and since then his form has shown a steep upward trend, so that he can now look forward to his fifth upgrade in a row. Overall, Boey has been able to increase its market value almost tenfold since the move and Gala stands to make a hefty profit if sold. Most recently, the professional, who was born in Montreuil, was rumored to have been linked to clubs from England; his contract runs until 2025.
The biggest loser in the update also comes from Galatasaray’s ranks: Tanguy Ndombélé, who was loaned from Tottenham in September, has not made more than six league appearances due to injury, and the 26-year-old midfielder is worth 6 million euros to 15 million euros. Many of his teammates also recorded a decline in market value, including ex-Leverkusen player Kerem Demirbay (-1.3 to 4.7 million), Tetê (-4 to 20 million), Victor Nelsson (-4 to 15 million), and Angeliño (-3 to 8 million), Hakim Ziyech (-3 to 12 million) and Wilfried Zaha (-3 to 17 million). Fenerbahce’s Cengiz Ünder (-4 to 16 million), Daniel Amartey from Besiktas (-3.5 to 8 million) and Trabzonspor’s Nicolas Pépé (-3 to 11 million) are also among the professionals who were devalued.
Pépé has only played 309 minutes so far due to a lack of training and injury concerns. Despite the devaluation, the former 80 million transfer from Arsenal is the second most valuable professional in the ranks of “Karadeniz Fırtınası” behind the Nigerian Paul Onuachu, whose market value of 13 million euros remains unchanged.

As a result of the update, Beşiktaş and Galatasaray are the teams that recorded the greatest loss in value in their squads: The “Black Eagles” are only just behind their city rivals in the ranking with a loss of 13.2 million euros (-13.7 million) over. Coach Rıza Çalımbay’s team initially slipped to fourth place behind Trabzonspor in the league-wide ranking. While Galatasaray remains at the top, second-placed Fenerbahce falls below the 200 million mark.

This is how transfer market market values work
The transfer market market values are created taking into account various pricing models as well as a strong involvement of the transfer market community, which deals with the values in detailed discussions. The transfer market market values cannot generally be equated with the transfer fees actually paid.
The goal is not to predict a price, but rather an expected value. When determining the market value, both individual transfer modalities and situational conditions are relevant to a certain extent. Examples of this are listed here. Transfermarkt does not use an algorithm (for detailed market value definition).
