Interim update Allsvenskan
In the interim update in the Swedish Allsvenskan, the biggest winner is a 17-year-old. For Lucas Bergvall from Djurgårdens IF it goes up by 1.5 million euros to 3.5 million euros, which puts him in second place among the most valuable players in the league. “Bergvall is one of the greatest Swedish talents. He made his debut for Brommapojkarna’s first team at the age of 15. Despite the interest from big foreign clubs, he consciously decided to stay in Sweden in the winter and move to Djurgården, where he gets regular appearances and knows how to impress,” explains market value admin Luca Reitz (“WS74DO”) about Bergvall, who is in is now the eleventh most valuable player in the world in his year.
Another big winner in the 132-player update comes from the ranks of IF Elfsborg. Jeppe Okkels (24) has increased by one to 2.5 million euros after the Danish left winger made his final breakthrough this season. With his 14 goals in 22 games, he is one of the main reasons why league leaders Elfsborg have a very good chance of winning their first championship title in Sweden since 2012. “If he maintains his current performance level, it is very likely that he will become the third winger to move from Elfsborg to a bigger European league in recent years, after Jesper Karlsson and Jacob Ondrejka,” predicts Reitz.
Newcomer Arbnor Mucolli (23) breaks the million mark after an increase from 850,000 euros to 1.2 million euros. The left winger moved from the Danish second division to Gothenburg in the summer and hit the ground running there. Mucolli is one of the league’s strongest players at the moment and has helped IFK Göteborg make up some ground in the relegation battle recently.
Former Dortmund player Tashreeq Matthews (23) is also showing an upward trend in form. “After a first half of the season with many injuries and weaker performances, his contract with Varbergs BoIS was terminated at his own request in the summer of 2022, whereupon he moved to Sirius and, after a mixed start, is having the best season of his career so far this year. With eleven goals, he is the club from the university town of Uppsala’s best offensive player,” explains Reitz.
Update Allsvenskan: Malmö’s Nanasi remains most valuable player – minus for Guidetti
Malmö’s Sebastian Nanasi (21) remains the Allsvenskan’s most valuable footballer after an increase of one million euros to 4.5 million euros. Behind the attacking midfielder, who has contributed 14 goals so far, is Bergvall and Hammarby’s Edvin Kurtulus (23; from 2 to 3 million euros).
Meanwhile, the red pen is given to center forward John Guidetti (31). Reitz about the loss from 300,000 euros to 600,000 euros: “Guidetti is playing a weak season at AIK Solna in which he was only able to score one goal. He also suffered a serious injury around four weeks ago that will mean he will be out for the rest of the season. Combined with his age, it is therefore necessary to make a significant downgrade.”
This is how transfer market market values work
The transfer market market values are created taking into account various pricing models as well as a strong involvement of the transfer market community, which deals with the values in detailed discussions. The transfer market market values cannot generally be equated with the transfer fees actually paid.
The goal is not to predict a price, but rather an expected value. When determining the market value, both individual transfer modalities and situational conditions are relevant to a certain extent. Examples of this are listed here. Transfermarkt does not use an algorithm (for detailed market value definition).
