Market values RL West: Prussia rising – Düsseldorf’s Ampomah loses

Gladbach’s Noss remains the leader

After three years, Preußen Münster is returning to the 3rd division and the very dominant season with 79 points is also reflected in the market value update of the Regionalliga West. With a plus of 430,000 euros, the traditional club recorded the greatest growth of all clubs.

Among others, Henok Teklab, who was the best preparer at Münster with twelve assists, is going up. The jump from 250,000 to 400,000 euros is the largest in the league and puts the 24-year-old in second place – until he is officially listed as a third-division professional from July 1st. Teammate Nicolai Remberg, who is drawn to Holstein Kiel, will then appear in the 2nd Bundesliga. Before that, he can look forward to his new market value of EUR 350,000 (+ EUR 100,000). Other winners in the Prussia squad are Thomas Kok (+50,000 to €200,000), Marc Lorenz (+50,000 to €200,000), Yassine Bouchama (+25,000 to €175,000), Simon Scherder (+25,000 to €175,000) and Dennis Grote ( +25,000 to €150,000).

The most valuable player in the league remains Conor Noss from Borussia Mönchengladbach’s second deputy with €700,000. Nana Ampomah, who was suspended at Fortuna Düsseldorf in the winter and had to spend the second half of the season with the U23s, is no longer in the top flight. He scored three goals in eight appearances, but the significant minus from 250,000 to 100,000 euros could not be prevented. At the time of the change in 2019, the market value was still 2.5 million euros.

It was similar this season for team-mate Kwadwo Baah, who was loaned out from Watford FC last summer and was originally scheduled for the pros. After seven brief appearances in the 2nd division and eight games in the regional division (each without a goal involved) it goes down from 300,000 to 200,000 euros.

This is how the Transfermarkt market values work

The Transfermarkt market values are created taking into account various pricing models and a strong involvement of the Transfermarkt community, which deals with the values in detailed discussions. The transfer market market values are not to be equated with the transfer fees actually paid.

The goal is not to predict a price, but an expected value. When determining the market value, both individual transfer modalities and situational framework conditions are relevant to a certain extent. Examples of this are listed here. Transfermarkt does not use an algorithm (for detailed market value definition).
