Ex-Bochumer with the biggest minus
Transfermarkt has subjected the market values in the Regionalliga West to an interim update. It was above all for the talents of 1. FC Köln, whose second representation now has the most valuable squad in the league and replaces Rot-Weiss Essen. Despite a strong season and the chance of promotion to the 3rd division, the second place in the table is slightly down, which is mainly due to the personality of Thomas Eisfeld.
The 29-year-old signed a contract in Essen until 2024 in January and impressed with three goals and two assists in six games in the first few weeks. Nevertheless, the market value of the former Bochumer can no longer be maintained after six months without a club and the change from second to fourth division. The minus of 100,000 to 300,000 euros is the largest devaluation in the league, in the ranking of the most valuable players Eisfeld falls out of the top 3.
New in the top 10 is Mathias Olesen, a homegrown “Effzeh” who made his breakthrough in the reserves this year and made his professional debut last weekend in a 1-1 win against Borussia Dortmund. For the central midfielder, it’s up 50,000 to 200,000 euros – one of four upgrades by Cologne alongside top winner Philipp Wydra (starting value of 150,000 euros), Ricardo Henning (+25,000 to 100,000 euros) and Rijad Smajic (starting value of 50,000 euros ).
