Transfermarkt has updated the market values of the Regionalliga West. One of the biggest winners is goalkeeper Justin Heekeren. After a convincing season, Heekeren joined Bundesliga promoted FC Schalke 04. Cost: 180,000 euros transfer fee.

Marcel Hoffmeier (22, Prussia Münster), Isaiah Young (24) and Daniel Heber (27, both RW Essen) also managed to jump to €250,000 each. The most valuable player in the league after an increase from 300,000 to 700,000 euros (+75 percent) is offensive man Conor Noss (21), who has already played three times in the Bundesliga with Borussia Mönchengladbach and has even been in the professional squad 22 times. In the opposite direction, Kevin Wolze (32, SV Straelen) and Thomas Kok (24, Preußen Münster) each lost 50,000 euros to now 150,000 euros.

This is how the Transfermarkt market values work

The Transfermarkt market values are created taking into account various pricing models and a strong involvement of the Transfermarkt community, which deals with the values in detailed discussions. The transfer market market values are not to be equated with the transfer fees actually paid.

The goal is not to predict a price, but an expected value. When determining the market value, both individual transfer modalities and situational framework conditions are relevant to a certain extent. Examples of this are listed here. Transfermarkt does not use an algorithm (for detailed market value definition).
