In the market value update in the Regionalliga Südwest, the three biggest winners come from the ranks of VfB Stuttgart II. By far the biggest plus is recorded by goalkeeper Dennis Seimen, who has already been part of the professional squad twice this season. For the 18-year-old, it goes up to 800,000 euros to one million euros, which puts him in fifth place in the ranking of the league’s most valuable players.
Behind the keeper, his teammates Samuele di Benedetto (18) and Raul Paula (19) also recorded significant gains. Both climb around 225,000 euros, the former is now worth 350,000 euros, while Paula ends up at 300,000 euros. Ivan Martinovic (19) from FSV Mainz 05 II will also be valued at the same amount and is now valued at 300,000 euros.
The first 14 places in the ranking of the most valuable players are dominated by talent from the secondary representatives of Eintracht Frankfurt, TSG Hoffenheim and VfB, with Hoffenheim’s Tom Bischof at the top with 3.5 million euros. Only center forward Phil Harres (21) from FC 08 Homburg breaks this dominance after his 150,000 euro increase to 300,000 euros. With 14 goals, he is currently the second best scorer in the list.
This is how transfer market market values work
The transfer market market values are created taking into account various pricing models as well as a strong involvement of the transfer market community, which deals with the values in detailed discussions. The transfer market market values cannot generally be equated with the transfer fees actually paid.
The goal is not to predict a price, but rather an expected value. When determining the market value, both individual transfer modalities and situational conditions are relevant to a certain extent. Examples of this are listed here. Transfermarkt does not use an algorithm (for detailed market value definition).
