Pereira with the biggest plus
Transfermarkt has updated the market values of the Qatar Stars League and has given a minus to numerous stars who moved from Europe to the Emirate in the summer: With a devaluation of 15 million to 25 million euros, the Italian Marco Verratti is the biggest loser, the 31st -Year-old remains by far the most valuable professional in the league. Things also went downhill for former Schalke player Julian Draxler.
The latter’s now 5 million euros (-1 million) are at the same level as in 2011, when he made the leap from the youth ranks to the professionals at the age of 17 with the Royal Blues. Draxler moved from Paris Saint-Germain to Al-Ahli in the desert state in mid-September for a fee of 9 million euros, and the transfer proceeds in the ex-national player’s career rose to over 90 million euros – a mark that has only been reached so far four German footballers surpassed that. The 30-year-old has since played three league games and contributed four goals for his new club. Recently, however, he was no longer in coach Pepa’s squad.
Draxler to Coutinho: Most expensive winter transfers in history
“Of course the financial aspect also plays an important role for me,” Draxler said when he moved to Qatar. The “new financial conditions” mean he has even more opportunities for his family and “projects outside the field.” In the league’s market value ranking, the Gladbeck native is still in 15th place (for an overview).
Despite the biggest devaluation, the list of the most valuable professionals in the Qatar Stars League is still headed by Draxler’s former Paris teammate Verratti, who moved from the Seine to Al-Arabi SC for a transfer fee of 45 million euros. Since then, Verratti has been on the pitch for the full distance in all five league games and set up two goals for his teammates.
Augustin, Ronaldinho & Co.: The most expensive PSG departures
“Certainly the sporting level is not the same here, but I have other joys: helping the league grow and advising my teammates. (…) In the end, the most important thing in life is to have fun. I enjoy training and playing games, even if it’s not at the same level. But I still enjoy it,” said the midfielder.
Behind Verratti, who now has a market value of 9 million euros, are, among others, ex-Leipziger Abdou Diallo, who also moved from Paris to Al-Arabi, ex-Munich player Philippe Coutinho and Michael Olunga (both from reigning champions Al-Duhail SC) as well as Al-Rayyan SC’s Róger Guedes and the Brazilian Giovani from Al-Sadd, who is suffering from a torn cruciate ligament. For all five it was down by one million euros each.
The biggest winner of the TM update is Al-Rayyan’s right winger Gabriel Pereira, with an increase of 2 million euros to 7 million euros. The offensive force came from New York City FC for 10 million euros in the last transfer period and has played nine games for the fifth-place team to date. the Stars League.
This is how transfer market market values work
The transfer market market values are created taking into account various pricing models as well as a strong involvement of the transfer market community, which deals with the values in detailed discussions. The transfer market market values cannot generally be equated with the transfer fees actually paid.
The goal is not to predict a price, but rather an expected value. When determining the market value, both individual transfer modalities and situational conditions are relevant to a certain extent. Examples of this will be here listed. Transfermarkt does not use an algorithm (for a detailed definition of market value).
