Market values Poland: López at the top – Werder departure Nawrocki increases

Replaces VfL newcomer Kaminski

Transfermarkt.pl has completely updated the market values of the Polish Ekstraklasa after the end of the season. As of July 1, Lech Poznan’s Jakub Kaminski (20) will be replaced as the most valuable player in the league due to his move to VfL Wolfsburg. In the future, Rakow’s Ivi López (27), who is the top scorer of the past season with 20 goals in 32 appearances, will greet him. The Spaniard registers his sixth consecutive plus since arriving at the Polish club in 2020, rising by €500,000 to €4m – the highest in the 27-year-old’s career.

Until the end of the month, Kaminski, Tomasz Kedziora (28; Poznan) and Benjamin Verbic (28; Legia) are ahead of López in the market value ranking. Both had moved to Poland during the special transfer period, but are returning to their Ukrainian clubs. While Verbic is still valued at €4.5m, Kedziora is now worth the same due to the highest devaluation as part of the update (€500,000). Vladyslav Kochergin (Rakow; 1.5 million euros) and Filip Marchwinski (Posen; 1 million euros) also recorded a loss of this magnitude.

moves to VfL Wolfsburg

The situation is different with the biggest winner: Vladan Kovacevic (24) from runner-up Rakow increases from two to three million euros, with which the most valuable goalkeeper in the league further extends his lead. It is not certain whether Rakow will be able to count on Kovacevic beyond the summer, as he is associated with a move to Glasgow Rangers, among other things.

Market values Ekstraklasa: Werder departure Nawrocki increases

Meanwhile, Maik Nawrocki (21), who will stay in Warsaw after his loan from Werder to Legia, is also recording a plus. The Polish record champions signed the native of Bremen in May with a purchase option for a reported 1.5 million euros. His market value increases by 600,000 to the transfer price. According to Michael Sroka, Area Manager Poland at Transfermarkt, the defender was the “only bright spot” in the “disappointing season” of record champions Legia, who finished tenth. In terms of squad values, the capital city is down slightly by around 300,000 to 23.6 million euros. A value that only Rakow (+2.35 to 28.7 million euros) and Poznan (+500,000 to 44 million euros) surpass in the league.

This is how the Transfermarkt market values work

The Transfermarkt market values are created taking into account various pricing models and a strong involvement of the Transfermarkt community, which deals with the values in detailed discussions. The transfer market market values are not to be equated with the transfer fees actually paid.

The goal is not to predict a price, but an expected value. When determining the market value, both individual transfer modalities and situational framework conditions are relevant to a certain extent. Examples of this are listed here. Transfermarkt does not use an algorithm (for detailed market value definition).
