Upgrades for youngsters
Transfermarkt has updated the market values of the Hungarian first division. The positive developments of winger Zalán Vancsa (17) at MTK Budapest and midfielder Péter Baráth (20) at Debreceni VSC were shown with upgrades.
Teenager Vancsa, signed by City Group club Lommel SK in the winter and loaned back to Budapest until the end of the season, has already registered his second upgrade since last autumn, this time doubling his market value to one million euros. Like Baráth, he was also called up for the national team for the first time. In addition, the transfer fee paid for Vancsa, at EUR 3 million, is high by Hungarian standards. Only two players in league history were more expensive when moving abroad.
Baráth is also showing interest outside of Hungary. According to media reports, Besiktas should have him on the radar. The market value of the defensive man also increases by 100 percent to 800,000 euros.
Hungary’s market value peak: Laïdouni passes Marquinhos at Ferencváros
Meanwhile, Frenchman Aïssa Laïdouni (25) from Ferencváros is at the top of the league due to an upgrade of another half a million euros. His new market value of 3.5 million euros is also great because teammate Marquinhos has been devalued by 800,000 euros to 3 million euros. Laïdouni justifies the increase as a top performer with the series champion and with his prospect of participating in the 2022 World Cup with Tunisia.
The Brazilian Marquinhos and the Argentinian Carlos Auzqui (30, also Ferencváros), who both joined the team in winter, have not yet played the role they had hoped for. However, for some time Ferencváros has also been using the strategy of signing players in winter so that they can settle in, so that in summer they can be fully integrated in the qualification for the European competitions, which starts very early for weaker leagues, and thus help the team be able.
This is how the Transfermarkt market values work
The Transfermarkt market values are created taking into account various pricing models and a strong involvement of the Transfermarkt community, which deals with the values in detailed discussions. The transfer market market values are not to be equated with the transfer fees actually paid.
The goal is not to predict a price, but an expected value. When determining the market value, both individual transfer modalities and situational framework conditions are relevant to a certain extent. Examples of this are listed here. Transfermarkt does not use an algorithm (for detailed market value definition).
