Market values Hungary: Adama Traoré sets record – Ferencváros dominates

interim update

Transfermarkt has subjected the market values of the Hungarian Nemzeti Bajnokság to an interim update. The biggest winner comes from series and record champion Ferencváros Budapest: Adama Traoré (27). The Malian records a jump from 3 million to 5 million euros, which means a new record in the Hungarian upper house. Never before had there been a market value of this magnitude in the league. As a result, Traoré overtakes his team-mate Aïssa Laïdouni (25), who is worth €3.5m, at the top of the most valuable player ranking.

Traoré, who joined Ferencváros from FC Sheriff for €2m in the summer, has shone in 18 games in all competitions, scoring 12 goals and providing five assists, making him the undisputed top scorer on his team. As a look at the TM rumor mill shows, there is said to be interest in Everton’s right winger. While Traoré is the most valuable from now on, five of his team-mates are behind him. The only two professionals in the top-10 who are not at Ferencváros are Kenan Kodro (29) and Loïc Nego (31) and they play for MOL Fehérvar FC. Kodro, Bosnian national player with Spanish roots, recorded an increase from 500,000 to 2 million euros – Nego is staying at the same level. The Brazilian Marquinhos (22) is now also valued at 2 million euros by Ferencváros. With a minus of one million euros, he is the biggest loser of this update – as the only player with a devaluation of this magnitude.

This is how the Transfermarkt market values work

The Transfermarkt market values are created taking into account various pricing models and a strong involvement of the Transfermarkt community, which deals with the values in detailed discussions. The transfer market market values are not to be equated with the transfer fees actually paid.

The goal is not to predict a price, but an expected value. When determining the market value, both individual transfer modalities and situational framework conditions are relevant to a certain extent. Examples of this are listed here. Transfermarkt does not use an algorithm (for detailed market value definition).
