Update Veikkausliga
Transfermarkt has completely revised the market values of the Finnish Veikkausliiga. The most valuable player remains the Ivorian central defender Wilfried Kanon from Helsinki IFK. As a result of his free transfer from Egyptian Pyramids FC to the poorly started fifth place in the previous season, the 28-year-old is downgraded significantly – by 400,000 to 600,000 euros. Previously, Kallon was the only player in Finland’s top flight to break the million mark.
HJK Helsinki right-back Miska Ylitolva gets the biggest upgrade, rising from €25,000 to €200,000. The 17-year-old is already a Finnish international and makes regular appearances, sometimes in the starting XI, for the record champions.
His teammate, Nassim Boujellab, who was loaned out to HJK by Schalke 04, gets the third devaluation in a row – by 100,000 to 400,000 euros. The 22-year-old midfielder went to Helsinki at the beginning of March after his loan contract with FC Ingolstadt was terminated, where he was unable to assert himself.
This is how the Transfermarkt market values work
The Transfermarkt market values are created taking into account various pricing models and a strong involvement of the Transfermarkt community, which deals with the values in detailed discussions. The transfer market market values are not to be equated with the transfer fees actually paid.
The goal is not to predict a price, but an expected value. When determining the market value, both individual transfer modalities and situational framework conditions are relevant to a certain extent. Examples of this are listed here. Transfermarkt does not use an algorithm (for detailed market value definition).
