Keskinen among winners
Topi Keskinen (20), Peter Michael (25) and Juhani Pikkarainen (25) are among the defining names of the past championship season in Finland. In the market value update of the Veikkausliiga they all increased significantly. HJK Helsinki talent Keskinen is only ahead of his teammate Bojan Radulovic (23) in the league’s market value ranking.
Striker Radulovic finished the regular season as the league’s top scorer with 15 goals in 19 games and added another three goals in the championship round. It generates an increase of 350,000 euros on the league top value of 800,000 euros. Second place goes to offensive partner Keskinen, who had a strong season on the wing at HJK and was one of the few in the Conference League group phase who was also able to demonstrate international caliber, for example against Eintracht Frankfurt. The young professional increases by another 200,000 to 700,000 euros.
One of the professionals who broke through the ranks of HJK players in the league rankings is one of the biggest surprises of the season: Michael from Vaasan Palloseura attracted attention with eight goals in the last ten games of the regular season before he scored strong ones With seven more goals in five games in the championship round, Helsinki’s Radulovic was almost a match.
The status in the team rankings is less surprising: HJK Helsinki can not only defend its top position thanks to a further increase of almost 3 percent, but can even expand it, as Kuopion Palloseura and FC Honka received a slight minus in second and third place respectively. Meanwhile, the update was really worth it for Vaasan Palloseura, which increased by more than 28 percent, and not just because of goal machine Michael. For example, Pikkarainen, who can now undoubtedly be counted among the strongest defenders in the league, played a major role in the unbeaten streak of 17 competitive games in a row that continued until the end of the season. The team last lost in June. Pikkarainen’s market value increases by 150,000 to 400,000 euros.
This is how transfer market market values work
The transfer market market values are created taking into account various pricing models as well as a strong involvement of the transfer market community, which deals with the values in detailed discussions. The transfer market market values cannot generally be equated with the transfer fees actually paid.
The goal is not to predict a price, but rather an expected value. When determining the market value, both individual transfer modalities and situational conditions are relevant to a certain extent. Examples of this are listed here. Transfermarkt does not use an algorithm (for detailed market value definition).
