Interim update Fortuna League
Slavia Prague got off to a great start to the season. The cup winners collected 22 points from eight games, just as many as league leaders Sparta Prague. As a result, two youngsters from Slavia in particular are on the rise in the interim update in the Czech Fortuna League: Matej Jurasek (20) and Christos Zafeiris (20).
Jurasek, the top winner of the update, goes up by 2.5 million to 3.5 million euros and Zafeiris jumps from 2.5 million to 4.5 million euros. The duo thus moves into the top five most valuable professionals in the Czech Republic’s first league, which is further led by Sparta Prague’s Ladislav Krejci (24), who remains unchanged at 5 million euros.
Krejci’s teammate Martin Vitik (20) also joins the most valuable five. The central defender recorded an increase of one million euros and, like four other professionals in the Fortuna League, is now valued at 3.5 million euros. In terms of squad values, the update brought the two Prague clubs mentioned closer to the top. Slavia increased by 10.1 percent to 43.45 million euros and is now only 1.2 million euros behind Sparta (1.8 percent to 44.65 million euros).
The biggest devaluation is for Vaclav Jemelka (28). After 27 league games for FC Viktoria Plzen last season, the defender has only played in three games this season and has not played four times, most recently three times in a row. Now it’s down by 600,000 euros to 1.2 million euros.
This is how transfer market market values work
The transfer market market values are created taking into account various pricing models as well as a strong involvement of the transfer market community, which deals with the values in detailed discussions. The transfer market market values cannot generally be equated with the transfer fees actually paid.
The goal is not to predict a price, but rather an expected value. When determining the market value, both individual transfer modalities and situational conditions are relevant to a certain extent. Examples of this are listed here. Transfermarkt does not use an algorithm (for detailed market value definition).
