Update before the championship final
Transfermarkt has updated all market values of the Colombian Liga Dimayor ahead of the championship final between Independiente Medellín and Junior FC. Daniel Ruiz Rivera (22) from Millonarios FC cannot maintain his top estimate, losing 500,000 euros to 3.5 million euros, and is overtaken by Atlético Nacional’s brilliant goalkeeper Kevin Mier (23; +300,000 euros). From now on they form a duo at the top of the most valuable footballers in the league.
The biggest winner of the update is Juan Portilla (25) from CD América de Cali, who jumps from 1.6 million to 2.2 million euros. Juan Torres (19) from Atlético Nacional also increased by 600,000 euros and is now valued at 850,000 euros. Behind the two, Déiber Caicedo (23) is also a player who has recorded a significant increase. The winger came to Junior on loan from the Vancouver Whitecaps and is one of the standout players there. After an increase of 300,000 to 2.8 million euros, he is the first pursuer of the leaders Ruiz Rivera and Mier.
The trend points in the other direction for Yairo Moreno (28), who is by far the biggest loser. The left-back from Independiente Medellín, formerly the second most valuable professional in Colombia, falls from 3.5 million to 2.2 million euros. His contract, which expires at the end of the year, also plays a role because it is not yet known how the club will decide and what options it has on the market.

The transfer market market values cannot generally be equated with the transfer fees actually paid.
The goal is not to predict a price, but rather an expected value. When determining the market value, both individual transfer modalities and situational conditions are relevant to a certain extent.
