Update Primera Division
Transfermarkt has updated the Primera División, the top division in Chile, and has chosen a new leader. However, the market value of Ignacio Saavedra (23), who is under contract with CD Universidad Católica, remains unchanged at 2.1 million euros.
Rather, the devaluation of the previous leader Leonardo Gil (30) ensures the change in leadership. The central midfielder from record champions CSD Colo Colo loses 500,000 euros and is now listed at 1.8 million euros, which is still enough for shared fourth place in a league-wide comparison.
In the meantime, a duo has passed by, which together recorded the greatest appreciation with a plus of 500,000 euros each. Gil’s team-mate and goalkeeper Brayan Cortés (27) jumps to €2m, like Unión Española’s Víctor Méndez (22), just behind Saavedra.
This is how the Transfermarkt market values work
The Transfermarkt market values are created taking into account various pricing models and a strong involvement of the Transfermarkt community, which deals with the values in detailed discussions. The transfer market market values are not to be equated with the transfer fees actually paid.
The goal is not to predict a price, but an expected value. When determining the market value, both individual transfer modalities and situational framework conditions are relevant to a certain extent. Examples of this are listed here. Transfermarkt does not use an algorithm (for detailed market value definition).
