Veteran star Fornaroli surprised

Melbourne City remains the Australian A-League’s most valuable club despite their squad value falling by €700,000 in the league’s market value update. Adelaide United, on the other hand, is growing the most. Market value admin “Klevio” sums up what the Saint-Vincent-Golf team is doing right: “Many of their young players are getting more playing time” – not least future Bayern professional Nestory Irankunda (17).
Irankunda can almost double its market value in the update. It goes up by 300,000 euros to 650,000 euros. The soon-to-be Munich player has expanded his position as the most valuable teenager in the league and is now also the highest-paid professional in the Adelaide squad, whose value has increased by more than 21 percent to 7.15 million euros. And Irankunda is by no means the only young professional who can show off for the Reds. With Giuseppe Bovalina (19), Jonny Yull (18), Luka Jovanovic (18), Bernardo Oliveira (19) and Irankunda, five teenagers are part of the regular staff of the eighth table. With Musa Toure (18) and Panashe Madanha (19), two other young starting eleven players were only stopped by injuries. The market value winners in Adelaide also include a veteran: the former Düsseldorf and Heidenheimer Ben Halloran (31).
The fact that Melbourne City is going downwards is due to the league’s most valuable player, Jamie Maclaren (30), but also to former Hamburg player Tolgay Arslan (33). “Maclaren had some minor injury problems at the start of this season, registering just four goals in nine games before scoring a hat-trick in the 8-1 loss to Brisbane Roar,” says admin “Klevio” summing up the situation. The market value of the national player fell slightly from 2 million euros to 1.8 million euros.
Ex-HSV professional Arslan falls despite a strong performance – Fornaroli’s biggest surprise
In contrast, the former HSV professional Arslan, who moved to Australia via Besiktas, Fenerbahce and Udinese Calcio in the summer of last year, shone. Ten goals and four assists in the first 20 competitive games of the season are an exclamation mark for the Paderborn native, but his value still falls from 1.4 million to 1.2 million euros due to his age. He remains in the top five of the most valuable A-League players, ahead of another former Düsseldorfer: Jorrit Hendrix (28; -200 thousand to 1 million euros).
Admin “Klevio” Bruno Fornaroli from Melbourne Victory is the surprise player of the season so far. Despite his age of 36, his market value increases slightly, by 50,000 to 500,000 euros. The expert sums up: “In the first ten league games he scored 13 goals, including two four-packs against the Newcastle Jets and the Western Sydney Wanderers. He has even been called up to the national team and will be in Australia’s squad for the Asian Cup this month.” Fornaroli leads the A-League’s goalscoring charts by a wide margin.
This is how transfer market market values work
The transfer market market values are created taking into account various pricing models as well as a strong involvement of the transfer market community, which deals with the values in detailed discussions. The transfer market market values cannot generally be equated with the transfer fees actually paid.
The goal is not to predict a price, but rather an expected value. When determining the market value, both individual transfer modalities and situational conditions are relevant to a certain extent. Examples of this are listed here. Transfermarkt does not use an algorithm (for detailed market value definition).
