updates
Transfermarkt has updated the market value of the top Albanian division, Abissnet Superiore. Record champions KF Tirana are not only on their way to their 26th championship, but are also at the top of the rankings in terms of market values. After the adjustments, center forward Taulant Seferi (25) now has the highest market value in the league at EUR 500,000 (+ EUR 150,000). With 20 points in 25 games (13 goals/seven assists), the eight-time Albanian national player is jointly responsible for KF Tirana’s confident lead in the table and, as an offensive all-rounder, is the central figure in the “white-blue” attack.
This also benefits his nimble strike partner Redon Xhixha, who with his eleven goals this season and five assists is not only the second-best scorer in the league after Seferi, but also ranks second in the market value table after a plus of 75,000 euros. The 23-year-old winger is now listed in the TM database at €425,000. Seferis and Xhixha’s teammates Ennur Totre (25), Erion Hoxhallari (26) and Visar Bekaj (24) each follow with increases from €50,000 to €400,000.
The only professional who was able to break that mark and is not under contract with KF Tirana is Saliou Guindo from KF Laçi, who rose by 125,000 euros to 400,000 euros. The 25-year-old attacker is currently second in the top scorers list with twelve goals this season – just behind Seferi. As a result, Guindo was called up for the Mali national team for the first time and made his international debut in the World Cup qualifier against Tunisia a few days ago.
Only 17 years old: goalkeeper youngster Simoni convinces in Abissnet Superiore
However, a goalkeeper made the biggest jump in market value. In the course of the season, the only 17-year-old Simon Simoni was able to assert himself between the posts at the traditional club FK Dinamo, his value is now estimated at 250,000 euros after a 400 percent increase (+200,000 euros). The young keeper stood out for his quick reactions and spectacular saves. With four clean sheets in ten matches, Simoni has already secured a few important points for Dinamo, who are threatened with relegation. Most recently, he even established himself as the new number one in the Albanian U21 national team.
This is how the Transfermarkt market values work
The Transfermarkt market values are created taking into account various pricing models and a strong involvement of the Transfermarkt community, which deals with the values in detailed discussions. The transfer market market values are not to be equated with the transfer fees actually paid.
The goal is not to predict a price, but an expected value. When determining the market value, both individual transfer modalities and situational framework conditions are relevant to a certain extent. Examples of this are listed here. Transfermarkt does not use an algorithm (for detailed market value definition).
