Complete update after the end of the season
Early in the season it became clear that this year’s Albanian championship in the Abissnet Superiore only runs through the record champions KF Tirana. The club from the capital, coached by former Albanian national goalkeeper Orges Shehi, was able to break away after the 4th matchday and easily win the 26th championship in the club’s history. Defending champions KF Teuta ended the season in a disappointing sixth place.
The guarantor for Tirana’s success was offensive all-rounder Taulant Seferi, who became the top scorer in the league with 18 goals and ten assists this season and is still at the top with 650,000 euros in the market value update that has now been carried out at the end of the season. The Macedonian Albanian, who was called up to the national team for the upcoming Nations League games, was rewarded for a strong season with the biggest plus of 150,000 euros. With selfless achievements and a technically strong style of play, Seferi arouses desires abroad. Club president Refik Halili recently even attached a price tag of 1.5 million euros to Seferi, who was tied until 2024.
Runner-up went to KF Laçi, who will take part in next season’s Europa Conference League qualifier thanks to Mali international Saliou Guindo’s 20 goals this season. In addition to the title of top scorer and a plus of 100,000 euros, Guindo is now also behind Seferi the second most valuable player in the league with a value of 500,000 euros.
FK Partizani also qualified for the Europa Conference League. Having started with title ambitions, the 16-time champion recovered after a very disappointing first half of the season thanks to successful winter transfers and a change of coach in the second half of the season. The performance of striker Xhuliano Skuka, who impressed with his spectacular style of play with speed dribbles and dream goals, is particularly noteworthy. In the first half of the season, he was still a bench press at the now relegated FK Dinamo, who found no use for him. Skuka switched to Partizani in the winter and shot the club into third place with nine goals and five assists. Added to this is an increase in market value to 450,000 euros, which puts him in the top 5 of the league.
FK Dinamo has to accept the biggest market value loss as a team. After you started the new season very ambitiously as a promoted team after a long absence and built up a team with a lot of money that should play for the title, disillusionment quickly followed and even the return to second division. Another relegated team is KF Skënderbeu. After the club was a series champion a few years ago and was the first Albanian club to qualify twice for the group stage of the Europa League, a draconian ten-year ban from UEFA followed in 2018 due to multiple match-fixing. Since then, the club has been fighting to stay in the top division, but due to financial bottlenecks and severe damage to its image, this has now come to an end with bottom place in the table.
In the relegation, KF Egnatia and KF Korabi play the last ticket for the next season in the Abissnet Superiore. Already promoted are KF Bylis Ballsh and KF Erzeni Shijak.
This is how the Transfermarkt market values work
The Transfermarkt market values are created taking into account various pricing models and a strong involvement of the Transfermarkt community, which deals with the values in detailed discussions. The transfer market market values are not to be equated with the transfer fees actually paid.
The goal is not to predict a price, but an expected value. When determining the market value, both individual transfer modalities and situational framework conditions are relevant to a certain extent. Examples of this are listed here. Transfermarkt does not use an algorithm (for detailed market value definition).
