Updates in the highest divisions
For the first time, in addition to the highest Albanian league, the Abissnet Superiore, the 2nd league was also provided with market values on Transfermarkt. The Kategoria e Parë has been officially included in the database since this summer and has now undergone its first complete update.
In the Abissnet Superiore, after the first quarter of the season, KF Tirana’s attacker Redon Xhixha (+75,000) is in first place in the ranking with a market value of 550,000 euros. Although mostly used on the wings, the 24-year-old has already scored ten goals in nine games this season and is thus the life insurance of the reigning champions with a goal contribution of 71.4 percent.
Close behind Xhixha follows Xhuliano Skuka (+50,000) from leaders FK Partizani with a value of 500,000 euros. The 24-year-old center forward stands out with his impressive speed paired with strong physique and five goals this season so far. Both strikers made their debuts for the Albanian national team in a friendly against Saudi Arabia (1-1) and want to make their mark for foreign clubs this season.
The two biggest winners of the update in the Abissnet Superiore are 19-year-old Rejan Alivoda of KF Vllaznia and Paulo Buxhelaj of FK Partizani. They come from the youth academies of their clubs, were able to get a regular place right away after the summer break and recommend themselves for the youth national team. Both receive a starting market value of 300,000 euros. Alivoda is at home in defensive midfield and shines with his calm ball handling and tackling strength, left-back Buxhelaj convinced with his offensive style of play, combination security in short passes and precise crosses.
2nd division in Albania: 18-year-old Simoni tops market value ranking
In the second Albanian league, the field is led by 18-year-old goalkeeper Simon Simoni from relegated FK Dinamo. Simoni is now entering his second season as a regular keeper at the club from Tirana and the Albanian U21 and, after a slight minus of 50,000, has a market value of 200,000 euros. His teammates Redon Danaj (22) and the top scorer, Taulant Marku (28; 8 goals), follow with starting values of 150,000 euros each. There are also two players from FK Apolonia who, with an average age of 20.9 years, have by far the youngest squad in the league and still have promotion ambitions. The Albanian U19 national player Arlind Kurti (17), who plays both central and full-back and has developed into an absolute regular, and 2.01-meter striker Mmesoma Umejiego, who is second in the top scorer list with five goals behind Marku also a market value of 150,000 euros.

The Transfermarkt market values are created taking into account various pricing models and a strong involvement of the Transfermarkt community, which deals with the values in detailed discussions. The transfer market market values are not to be equated with the transfer fees actually paid.
The goal is not to predict a price, but an expected value.
