Mark Rutte is today the record prime minister in the Netherlands. With 4,311 days on the counter, he beats the previous record holder Ruud Lubbers, who was Prime Minister of our northern neighbors for 4,309 days between 1982 and 1994. Despite various crises, such as the allowance affair, and several cabinet perils, Rutte managed to remain at the head of the Dutch government.
