“Mario and I have decided to end our relationship definitively,” said the socialite Isabella Preyslerabout her romantic relationship with the writer Mario Vargas Llosa, in exclusive statements to the magazine Hello! and added: “I do not want to give any more statement and I thank friends and the media for helping us in this decision.”
For eight years they have formed one of the most mediatic and atypical couples in the Spanish-speaking media. The winner of Nobel Prize of Literature and the Filipino celebrity became the protagonists of the covers of social interest magazines.
According to sources close to the couple, it was a scene of jealousy a few weeks ago that precipitated the separation. Vargas Llosa left the Preysler house where she had lived since the romance was consolidated.
The fights were more and more frequent as well as the abandonment of the house by art of the writer.
The beautiful Isabel Preysler always caused a stir in the various media around the world. At the age of 17, she came to Spain from the Philippines and a few months later she fell in love with the Spanish singer, the rage of the moment, Julio Iglesias. From the relationship with the artist, their children were born, the musician Enrique Iglesias, Julio Iglesias Jr. and Chabeli Iglesias. After her separation from Iglesias, Preysler married the Iberian nobleman Carlos Falco and, later, with the socialist minister, Michael Boyer.

The separation of Vargas Llosa from Patricia was a scandal in 2015, in which even their children were involved. But the writer’s attraction to Preysler was stronger and the romance quickly consolidated.
