Mario Dondero is one of the protagonists of Italian photography of the second half of the twentieth century e prominent photojournalist on the international scene.

Along with many of the most iconic photographs, several unpublished shots are presented, such as some portraits of Pier Paolo Pasolini and Laura Betti. The anthology reconstructs the work of the photographer who contributed to “a renew the photographic language with a view to strong civil commitment“.

The exhibition display of ten rooms of the Apartment of the Princes it is conceived as a narration that winds along as many stages, each conceived as a micro-exhibition: from the photographs of the first trips to Portugal in the 1950s, to the shots taken in Kabul in the 2000s.

The exhibition enhances Dondero’s ability to seize a moment of joy, of pain, of amazement through a gesture or a look.
