Marieke Elsinga plays with fire. She has adopted a wafer-thin TV format for the second time and with that she really goes against Angela de Jong: very dangerous.
Can someone wake up Marieke Elsinga’s manager? The Qmusic star would love to make a career as… host of major TV entertainment, but is very naive in the competition. Her first show Alles is Muziek (Irene Moors hitting the shuffleboard) was so bad and infantile that you have to make sure that your next show doesn’t come close to that.
Angela is angry
For example, Marieke and her manager could have aimed for an emo program or a talent show, but now she has accepted yet another show with an infantile edge: The Jump. This time she throws candidates off a bridge who give an incorrect answer. The premiere numbers are good, but the collapse is near.
The reviews are really bad and Angela de Jong is also starting to get irritated. And as a TV star with ambitions, you really don’t want Angela de Jong to pick on you. Marieke has taken a big risk by diving into the infantile corner again and it now blows up mercilessly in her face: Angela is ANGRY.
‘So irritating’
So Angela watched that program with the bridge and she was really shocked. Angela thinks this is very bad. “You would think that there [na het debacle met Alles is Muziek] We carefully looked for a format that suits her personality. But no, it became The Jump.”
The ruthless opinion diva continues in the A.D: “Marieke must and will become a quiz master, even though she clearly lacks any talent for that. Rarely have I heard someone so uninspired utter the irritating stop-phrases ‘Activate the shutters’ and ‘Make the jump’.”
Shutters
By the way, Marieke’s candidates aren’t all that good either, Angela thinks. “Shutters? Yes, The Jump is both a knowledge quiz and a Squid Game. If the answer is wrong, a participant will fall several meters down through a trap door. You wonder who signed up for this. Well, people who have never heard of Gerard Reve or Rutger Hauer.”
In other words: not very bright types, Angela wants to say. Anyway, hopefully for Marieke her next TV format will be somewhat bearable. After all, three times is a charm. If not, Angela could abruptly put the whole Marieke and her TV career in the shredder…
