Marieke made Thursday morning in her radio program Mattie & Marieke known to be pregnant on Qmusic. The 35-year-old presenter said she was happy to share the happy news, but “at the same time it was also wonderful to keep it to ourselves”.

The presenter joked in the broadcast to consider names such as Luuk, John, Jeroen or Aran – the names of her colleagues at the program.
In February 2020, Marieke announced that she was in a relationship with her boyfriend Sander. The two now live together in Amsterdam.
Marieke returned to the radio this week after she had not been heard for a month. In her own words, working for radio and television has cost her too much energy lately, so she decided to ‘step on the brakes for a while’.
